The British Prime Minister, Mrs. Theresa May, has just arrived the Presidential Villa, Abuja, for a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.
She arrived the Presidential Villa in a gray vehicle marked 138 CMD at about 1.03pm.
Buhari and some top government officials received her at the forecourt of his office.
After the arrival formalities, they retired into Buhari’s office for a meeting.
The Prime Minister will meet victims of modern slavery in Lagos after her meeting with Buhari.
Security has been beefed up at the Murtala Muhammed Airports, Ikeja, ahead of Theresa May’s visit to Lagos on Wednesday.
Security agencies including the Police, the Nigeria Civil Defence and Security Corps and the Nigerian Army are at strategic locations within the precincts of the airport.
Also deployed are officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps and the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency to ensure smooth human and vehicular movement.
Theresa May is on a three-nation Africa trade mission aimed at boosting her country’s post-Brexit fortunes.
She was in South Africa on Tuesday and will be in Kenya on Thursday.
