RMD celebrates TV wife, Ego Boyo, at 50

Nollywood veteran actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo, popularly known as RMD, on Thursday celebrated his colleague, Ego Boyo, as she clocked 50.

In a post to Instagram, the 57-year-old stated that he is glad that he is the only actor in the movie industry that Ego has acted as a wife to.

He revealed that their closeness on screen has practically made her family to him.

“Happy birthday my dearest @officialegoboyo What a journey. What a robust and glorious life you have had. As for me, I am just happy that I am the only actor you have been a Wife and a friend to in this business. You have become family to me,” he wrote.

RMD and Ego Boyo both starred in a movie titled Violated released in 1996.

The film tells the story of a young man named Tega (Richard Mofe-Damijo) from a wealthy background who falls in love and marries Peggy (Ego Boyo) who came from a different background.

Ego Boyo has starred in movies such as Checkmate, 30 Days, Akanchawa and Violated.

She currently plays Deka in a TV series titled Mr X Family, produced by RMD.
