Nigerians didn’t hold back after national carrier, Nigeria Air, was suspended indefinitely.
The Federal Government, through the Minister of State Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika disclosed this on Wednesday in Abuja.
This comes barely a month after the name and logo were unveiled at Farnborough Air Show in London.
As the news of suspension filtered, the usually vocal Nigerian Twitter community quickly weighed in on the development.
Many compared it to the collapsed Ponzi scheme, MMM.
Here’s what they had to say on Twitter.
Scam Too Much For Nigeria

If you were one of those optimistic about the “Success” of Nigeria Air, chances are you were one of those who also believed Buhari was going to change Nigeria in 2015
Most probably, you also lost money to MMM
We know your kind…

MMM lasted 4 2yrs Sir. Some people benefited. Comparing Nigeria air to MMM is an insult Sir 😆😆😆 https://t.co/JmAeV9KNPe

lmao. the funny fact about these two frauds is that:
MMM actually benefited some Nigerians before collapsing while Nigeria Air cost the nation over N1.5billion for launching only logo without flying any plane.
the later is a bigger SCAM! #NigeriaAir https://t.co/Ea7IRuETJG
