Oyetola, former chief of staff to outgoing Governor Rauf Aregbesola and cousin to Bola Tinubu, is highly tipped to emerge victorious.
However, he faces competition from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flagbearer, Ademola Adeleke, Iyiola Omisore of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and Moshood Adeoti of the Action Democratic Party (ADP).
El-Rufai was part of the APC mega rally in Osogbo on Tuesday.
