Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State became the butt of Twitter jokes on Wednesday after pictures of him sleeping at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York went viral.
The 59-year-old dozed off while President Muhammadu Buhari delivered his address at the General Debate of the General Assembly on Tuesday.
He, however, woke up on time to cheer the President after his speech.
Twitter users didn’t pass the opportunity to take a dig at Obaseki, who sat behind the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Godffrey Onyeama, and others while Buhari spoke.
