Social Democratic Party (SDP) senatorial candidate for Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti, on Sunday survived an auto accident along the Lokoja-Abuja highway.
The lawyer-turned-politician confirmed the incident on Twitter on Monday with images of her damaged vehicle.
“All praises to God for saving my team and I from the ghastly accident yesterday along Lokoja -Abuja highway.
“My unreserved thanks goes to you all for your concerns and prayers,” she wrote.

Akpoti is popular for her crusade for the revitalisation of the Ajaokuta Steel Company.
She recently faulted Central Bank of Nigeria governor, Godwin Emefiele, for advising the Federal government to sell the national asset to implement the 2018 deficit-based budget.
