An aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, says he does not wish death for President Muhammadu Buhari.
Omokri made this statement on Monday while responding to a Twitter user who said he heard that President Buhari was dead and that the Queen of England had sent her condolences.
Omokri, who berated the Twitter user for the statement, said opposition should not birth madness, adding that he wishes Buhari live a full life to see Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) do what he could not do for Nigerians.
Opposition is not madness! Why are you wishing a fellow creation of God dead? I wish @MBuhari is defeated in 2019, but I pray for him not to die. May he live a full life to see @atiku do for Nigeria what he couldn’t for us in Jesus’ name. #RenosDarts https://t.co/xa81A0NkwE

Omokri, 44, was special assistant on political matters to former President Jonathan.
He engaged critics of the government in social media battles and was accused of launching attacks against opposition politicians using fake names.
Following Jonathan’s loss in the 2015 presidential election, Omokri became a fierce critic of the Buhari administration.
He was one of those who attended “strategy meetings” with PDP presidential candidate for the 2019 election, Atiku Abubakar, in Dubai.
Reno Omokri is also a professed Christian minister.
