Filmmaker, Adekunle Adejuyigbe, also known as Nodash, has bagged the prize for Best Nigerian Film at just concluded African International Film Festival (AFRIFF) with his movie, The Delivery Boy.
The Delivery Boy is a story of Amir, a teenage bomber who forms a bond with a prostitute and the two must rely on one another to survive. Their journey takes them through the underbelly of the city exposing the hidden back side of African society and its dangerous culture of silence in the presence of evil.
The movie continues Nodash’s tradition of seeking to tell vibrant African stories without diluting the cinematic experience.
It has been shown at the African Film Festival in New York, Nollywood Week Paris and the Lake International Pan African Film Festival
The much-travelled movie director has won various awards in Nigerian and was selected as one of the 21 emerging cinematographers from all over the world by the Berlin Film Festival in 2015.
He has shot several TV commercials, a few music videos, a number of documentaries and a handful of films and TV series.
Among his numerous awards are best directing for a musical, InShort International Film Festival; best cinematography, Nollywood Travel Festival; best editor, In-short international Film Festival; best cinematography, Nigerian Music Video Awards, and best editor, Nigerian Movie Awards.
The 2018Â edition of AFRIFF ran from November 11 to 18.
