Nigeria’s Denrele Edun has been announced as one of the red carpet hosts for the 2018 edition of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA).
The event slated to hold on Saturday, November 24 at the Accra International Conference Centre, Ghana, is the fifth edition of the edition of the annual showbiz spectacle held in partnership with the African Union.
As usual, this year’s red carpet will be taken over by a group of young, enterprising and fashion-savvy personalities in the media and entertainment industries of Africa.
Joining Denrele as red carpet hosts are Regina Van Helvert (Ghana), Anita Fabiola (Uganda), Mak’lor Babutulua (DRC), Jason Osman El-Agha (Ghana) and Miss P (Cameroon).
Award-winning media personality and former Channel O’s VJ, Denrele Edun, is not new to the AFRIMA red carpet.
He hosted the 2015 and 2016 instalments of the award show held in Lagos, Nigeria.
Other events lined up to precede Saturday’s grand finale are AFRIMA Welcome Soiree on November 21; Africa Music Business Summit (AMBS) on November 22 at the Ballroom, Kempinski Hotel, Accra; AFRIMA Music Village also on November 22 from 5.00 pm till dawn at the Independence Square, Accra; a guided tour of the notable sites and landmarks in the host city on November 23, which will be followed by the nominees party from 10 pm.
