Super Eagles midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi, has rewarded Lobi Stars FC with One million naira for advancing to the second round of the CAF Champions League.
The reigning Nigerian champions defeated UMS de Loum of Cameroon 2-0.
Onazi, a native of Benue state, was utterly thrilled with the team’s showing, to the extent of splashing cash reward.
“I want to congratulate the team for their win and progress to the next round. I want them to continue working hard and ensure they bring the trophy to Nigeria again,” the Trabzonspor star was quoted by AOIFootball.
The cash was reportedly handed to Lobi Stars’ captain, on Thursday.
Having missed his side’s last two due to accumulated yellow cards, the Eagles’ anchorman his expected to return for Trabzonspor against Konyaspor on Saturday.
