A heartbroken man Akan Udom has written a touching letter to his former girlfriend who is about to get married to another man.
Mr Udom wrote in a post on Facebook on Wednesday.
The Uyo-based eMarketer wrote that he met his former girlfriend identified as Ufan on social media in 2011.
He said he thought it was a joke the first time she told him she was getting married to another man.
The lover boy added that he would not attend her wedding because he is not emotionally strong to “see the only woman he truly loved” officially given out to another man.
Udom who runs an online company called Yenne eMarket is a fan of former governor of Akwa Ibom State Victor Attah. He posted a picture of Mr Attah on November 20 to mark the elder stateman’s birthday.
The Akwa Ibom indigene wished his former girlfriend marital bliss, fruitfulness and peace.
“I love you still and wish you the best of marital bliss, fruitfulness and peace. I still wish I can be there to witness it, but I can’t. I hope you really understand.
“Thanks for being a friend indeed. Thanks for your contribution to what is today known as Yenne eMarket.
“I will forever miss you and I doubt any woman can take these memories of you away,” Udom wrote.
It appeared Udom was criticised for writing the letter since he knew Ufan would be marrying another person on Saturday December 15.
Udom replied the criticisms to say that the intending couples had handled it maturely.
“Maturity is when my friend n her hubby perfectly understand my post but you don’t. Who should we blame? #Goodnight,” he wrote.
