Nigerians have on Twitter called for the boycott of singer Olamide’s forthcoming concert in Lagos after criticisms trailed the lyrics of the song ‘Logo Benz’ where the singer sings about cybercrime and money ritual.
Borrowing from the desperation of some young Nigerians to get rich quick, the song by Lil Kesh plays on criminals stealing ladies’ pants and women who sell their bodies for money.
Olamide in a tweet on Twitter on Friday attempted to justify the lyrics of the song, saying it only raised awareness about goings on in the society.
Many fans are, however, not buying that and have called for the boycott of Olamide Live in Concert (OLIC) scheduled to hold on Sunday with the likes of Phyno, Timaya, Adekunle Gold, Reminisce, Ycee, Lil Kesh and others billed to perform live.
