Popular Nigerian actress, director and producer, Ayo Adesanya, is 46 today. And the beauty from Ijagun, Ijebu in Ogun State has been sharing new photos with her fans via her Instagram page since Monday to celebrate the milestone.
Delighted to be a year older, the mother of one acknowledges her struggle over the years and is grateful for the grace to be alive.
The former partner of actor and director, Omogoriola Hassan, recently celebrated her 20 years on stage at the Royal Diamond orphanage.
She explained the choice of an orphanage in an Instagram message where she wrote that it was to give back as a way of saying thank you to God for His mercies.
She further talked about her life on camera, how 20 years on stage have been challenging with all its turbulence and how the second chance God gave her.
Her words: “We cried we smiled we prayed we glorified God…awesome time we had. The prayer session…God you are awesome…only you will I praise…you are always a good God. Glad I came..my spirit was lifted and I could glorify God on an on….now I understand why he has kept me thru these wonderful years…life is full of challenges but with God you will always overcome them.
“20 years of being camera friendly. I am always grateful. 20 years of hearing the word action and cut, I am always grateful despite the turbulence in between God gave me a second chance and I came back fully just few years back.”
Active on the scene from an early age, Ayo attended St. Ann School at Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State and later proceeded to the University of Ibadan for her first degree.
She began professional acting after she completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme and her first appearance on television was on the soap opera Palace.
There was also a waka pass role in Andy Amenechi’s Mortal Inheritance which also starred Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Fred Amata, Abiola Atanda and Kunle Bamtefa.
