Tankers, vehicles’ collision cause heavy gridlock in Lagos

Multiple accidents on Wednesday evening caused heavy gridlock along Ikorodu road at Palmgrove Bus Stop in Lagos.

The accidents occurred a few metres away from the NEM Insurance corporate head office on Ikorodu road.

Several cars and petrol tankers were involved in the incident, however, no life has been reported lost.

An eyewitness said that LASEMA officials responded swiftly to emergency calls.

Many of them were seen evacuating the vehicles to ease the gridlock worsened by rush-hour traffic.

A fire tanker belonging to the Lagos State Fire Service was also stationed to avoid fire outbreak.
