Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri, has said that the Belgian playmaker, Eden Hazard, can leave Chelsea if he wants.
The 60-year-old Italian manager said this at a press conference ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League game against Bournemouth on Wednesday.
“Eden is 28. If he wants to go, I think he has to go. Of course, I hope the opposite; I hope he wants to stay here. He has the potential to be the best player in Europe at the moment,” Sarri said.
Hazard has long been linked with a move to Spanish side, Real Madrid.
He had said in the past that he would be interested in a move to the reigning Champions League holders.
Sarri, however, confirmed on Tuesday that youngster, Callum Hudson-Odoi, would not be leaving Chelsea in the January transfer window.
