Nollywood actress, Stephanie Okereke Linus, has received special recognition for her movie, DRY, from the Los Angeles City Council in an event on Tuesday.
The 36-year-old movie veteran shared the news in a series of pictures and videos posted on Instagram on Wednesday.
“Good Morning Lovelies, I got a Special Recognition for DRY at the Los Angeles City council ahead of Pan African Film & Arts Festival (PAFF) Screening,” she wrote in parts in one of her captions.
She also disclosed that DRY has been selected to screen for the second time at the Pan African Film & Arts Festival (PAFF) in Los Angeles later in February.
Stephanie Okereke Linus has won several awards and nominations for her work as an actress.
She recieved the 2003 Reel Award for Best Actress, the 2006 Afro Hollywood Award for Best Actress and has three nominations for Best Actress in leading role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2005, 2009 and 2010.
She was the runner-up for the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria beauty Pageant 2002.
Stephanie was awarded a national honour, Member of the Order of the Federal Republic, (MFR) by the Nigerian government in 2011.
