SDP dumps Gana, Duke, adopts Buhari as candidate

The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) has adopted President Muhammadu Buhari as its candidate for the February 16 presidential election.

The party took this stance on Thursday at its NEC meeting in Abuja.

The party has been troubled with court cases over its flag bearer for the presidential election.

Former senator, Prof Jerry Gana, and former Cross River State Governor, Donald Duke, have both been at each other’s neck over the party’s ticket.
