Pop musician, Davido, has revealed that he has been getting lot of threats for his willingness to discuss his political stance openly.
The 26-year-old singer disclosed this in a tweet on Monday.
“Getting a lot of threats …. WE GALLANT DEY WAIT UNA !! 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿,” Davido wrote
Davido, on Sunday, said entertainers were tired of being threatened and coerced to stay out of politics in a series of posts on social media.
Stating that Nigeria was the business of entertainers as well and they had stakes in how the country is being run.
The DMW boss alleged that he has been denied use of the Eko Atlantic City in Victoria Island as venue for his end of the year show in December 2018.
He made allusions to political powers attempting to sabotage the show because of his support for his uncle during the 2018 Osun State gubernatorial election.
Davido was heavily involved in the campaign to get his uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke, elected as Osun governor in September.
He also performed at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national convention held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on October 6, 2018.
