Comedian AY and ‘Gallardo’ singer, Runtown, are among celebrities celebrating their birthday on Wednesday, August 19.
The former is 37 while the latter turns 26.
Born Ayodeji Richard Makun, AY is a multi-award winning comedian, radio and TV presenter, actor, writer, director and MC.
The father of one once worked as Alibaba’s personal assistant and event manager. He also wrote as a guest columnist in Daily Sun and Gbenga Adeyinka’s Laugh Mattaz.
Also known as Warri boy, he produced his first movie 30 Days in Atlanta in 2014 and recently won the 2015 City People Awards for Best Movie.
The Delta State University graduate married to his wife Mabel Makun in 2015.
Douglas Jack Agu, popularly known as Runtown, is a singer, songwriter and producer with a diverse fusion of hip-hop, R&B and reggae.
In 2007, he moved to Lagos from Enugu State with Phyno and after a year they partnered to form a record label called Penthauz during which he released his first two singles ‘Party Like It’s 1980’ and ‘Activity Pikin’.
He came into limelight after his collaboration with Davido on his song ‘Gallardo’ in 2014, which won the Best Collaboration of the Year Award at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
Few months later, he signed a multi-million Naira contract with Eric-Manny Entertainment owned by Prince Okwudili Umenyiora, the CEO of Dilly Motors.
Runtown is currently studying Fashion Management in New York.
