National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, has alleged that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) shared intelligence that the general elections would be postponed to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Mr Oshiomhole made this fresh allegation on Monday at the APC caucus meeting at the party’s secretariat in Abuja.
The meeting was the first for the party since INEC shifted dates for the general elections by one week.
Oshiomhole also said the electoral body advised the PDP to conserve its resources while pretending to the APC that elections would go as planned.
“From all we have now know, I can put my hand on the holy Qu’ran that INEC leadership knew that they were going to postpone the election. They shared this information with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and advised them not to waste their resources while pretending to us that they are on top of the situation.
“Any time you raise observation they are on top of the situation. But actually as we now know, they were on top of this arrangement that was made to create confusion across the country,” he said.
