Actor and producer, Yomi Fabiyi, has provided an update on the donations being made to help veteran comic actor, Baba Suwe.
Yomi, a former personal assistant of Baba Suwe, claimed that over one million Naira had been raised since the alarm was raised over 48 hours ago.
He revealed this via an Instagram post on Wednesday.
“In less than 48hrs, my fans have sent me screen shots of
deposits they made and have raised million+ to SAVE BABA SUWE. I am close to
tears,” his caption read in parts.
He appreciated the contributions made by colleagues such as
Liz Anjorin and Iyabo Ojo.
“As it stand, the veteran requires SERIOUS URGENT MEDICARE,
which will of course run into multiple millions of Naira if the last costing is
anything to go by,” he later added.
Baba Suwe revealed that he is battling an undisclosed ailment.
The 60-year-old actor confirmed his health challenges in a
2019 interview where he lamented the worsening state of his health,
He confirmed that he is currently walking with the aid of a
stick.
