Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, has said that the commission would open the collation centre at the International Conference Centre (ICC) in Abuja on Sunday.
In a media briefing ahead of the Presidential and National Assembly elections on Saturday, Prof. Yakubu assured that all arrangements have been put in place for the commencement of elections.
“The collation centre will open on the 24th February, here at the International Conference Centre at 6pm,” he said.
The INEC chair also warned that only those with Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) will be able to participate in the exercise.
The Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, assured the electorate, domestic and international observers and INEC officials of their security.
