Failure of the smart card reader on Saturday has resulted in elections being reconducted at a polling unit in Kopti, Tafawa Balewa/Bogoro federal constituency of Bauchi State.
Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, represents the constituency and is seeking re-election under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Election at the unit was rescheduled for Sunday after the card readers failed to work after 2 p.m. on Saturday, according to INEC officials at the constituency collation centre in Zwall.
Officials have begun gathering results from different wards where elections went successfully in the three local government areas that make up the constituency.
