Senator Biodun Olujimi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has lost her Ekiti South senatorial seat to Adedayo Adeyeye of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Mrs Olujimi is the PDP Senate minority leader.
The Returning Officer for Ekiti South Senatorial District, Prof. Laide Lawal, announced on Sunday that Adeyeye scored 77,621 votes while Olujimi polled 53,741 votes.
In Ekiti North, Duro Faseyi of the PDP also lost to Olubunmi Adetumbi of the APC.
The Returning Officer for Ekiti North Senatorial District, Prof. Abayomi Fasina, declared on Sunday that the APC polled 60,689 votes to defeat the PDP which got 49,209 votes.
PDP candidate and House of Representatives member representing Ekiti South 2 Federal Constituency, Segun Adekola, having secured 25,707 votes, lost reelection bid to the APC candidate, former Chief of Staff to Governor Kayode Fayemi , Yemi Adaramodu, who scored 41 ,864 votes.
In Ekiti North 2 Constituency, APC candidate, Olanrewaju Ibrahim, scored 29,388 votes to defeat PDP candidate, Olusola Omotoso, who got 23,684 votes.
