President Muhammadu Buhari has defeated Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State which is governed by Governor Kayode Fayemi of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The returning officer, Prof. Idowu Olayinka, vice chancellor of the University of Ibadan, announced that APC polled 219,231 votes while the PDP got 154,032 votes.
Total valid votes were 381,132, rejected votes were 12,577, while total votes were 393 709.
