Olamide is an indigenous rapper who often uses explicit words to glorify the dark side of life, but ‘Melo Melo’ is an exception. It is a far cry from songs like ‘Shakiti Bobo’, ‘Lagos Boys’, ‘First of All’ and ‘Turn Up’.
In an unexpected twist, Baddosneh wrote a love song that people are falling in love with for the right reasons.
‘Melo Melo’ appreciates a woman who stood by her man despite all odds.
According to the chorus:

The first verse melts many ladies’ heart, little wonder it is now a theme song at marriage proposals and weddings.

It’s one thing for a man to admit to his mistakes, it’s another thing to make your woman know she is the best. Olamide slayed this verse in all ramifications.
We thought the ‘Lagos Boys’ singer had nothing else to say after another chorus but his second verse shows that a man that poses as someone that can party hard is also appreciative of women especially his own woman.
Many fans are under the impression that he wrote the song for his long-time girlfriend and mother of his son, Aisha Suleiman.

This is by far one of the best songs the award-winning rapper ever did. Not because it is a love song, but because despite being known as a wild boy, he changed his tune and type of music to deliver perfection.
