The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday declared the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, as the winner of the governorship election held in Lagos State on Saturday.
The Returning Officer and Vice Chancellor, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Prof. Eyitope Ogunbodede, said Mr Sanwo-Olu polled 739,445 votes to defeat his closest rival, Jimi Agbaje of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who scored 206,141 votes.
