President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Abuja after voting on Saturday during the governorship and State House of Assembly elections in his hometown, Daura, Katsina State.
Buhari, alongside his wife, Aisha, and some aides touched down at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at about 12.30 p.m. on Tuesday.
They were received at the airport by the president’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Muhammed Bello, presidential aides, and other government officials.
Buhari received his former schoolmates and Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State on Monday in Daura when Masari led them to officially inform him (Buhari) of his victory at the governorship polls.
