The police in New Zealand have charged one man with murder after attacks on two mosques in Christchurch on Friday left at least 49 people dead.
New Zealand police commissioner, Mike Bush, said the suspect will appear in court on Saturday (tomorrow).
“One person, a male in his late 20s, has been charged with murder, and should appear in the Christchurch Court tomorrow morning,” said Mr Bush.
An Australian gunman involved in the attacks tweeted a racist manifesto before livestreaming his rampage.
Police have called on people not to share the video of the gunman shooting sporadically at worshippers from close range.
Twitter also announced on its official page that it is working vigilantly to remove all videos portraying violence connected to the attack in New Zealand.
