The police in Kaduna on Sunday vowed to apprehend the attackers of Nandu village of Sanga local government area of Kaduna State.
Armed bandits on Saturday raided the Southern Kaduna community, killing 10 people, and setting about 30 houses on fire.
Kaduna police spokesman, Yakubu Sabo, who spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) said joint patrol team of the police and the army were in the area to forestall possible break down of law and order.
Mr Sabo also said the injured had been taken to the hospital for treatment.
He added that the state’s police commissioner, Ahmad Abdurrahaman, had condemned the killing and commiserated with the victims’ families.
According to him, Mr Abdulrahaman advised the affected community against taking the law into their hands but to allow justice to take its course.
