A Nigerian woman, Thelma Chiaka, was last Friday delivered of sextuplets (six babies) within nine minutes in a hospital in Texas, United States.
Chiaka, who lives in Houston, first had two sets of twin boys before being delivered of one set of twin girls between 4:50 a.m. and 4:59 a.m, Fox News reports.
A release by the hospital showed that the babies were in stable condition.
The Women’s Hospital also said the babies have been placed in the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit for monitoring.
Chiaka, according to the hospital, named the girls Zina and Zuriel as of 10:30 a.m. on Friday.
The names of the boys are yet to be revealed.
