Nigeria has been ranked 85 on the list of happiest countries in the world released on Wednesday to mark International Day of Happiness.
The World Happiness Report showed how 156 countries faired in terms of life expectancy, social support and corruption.
Finland remains the happiest country in the world for the second year in a row.
Followed after Finland in the top five is Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Iceland.
UK did not make the top 10. It rose to 15th, from its 19th place finish in 2018. US scored its lowest ranking ever at 19th.
Libya, however, stood as the highest ranked African country in 72nd place.
Six African countries completed the list of 10 countries who scored lowest in the happiness index – Botswana, Malawi, Rwanda, Tanzania, Central African Republic, and South Sudan in the bottom of the log.
