Presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the February 23 election, Atiku Abubakar, has sent words of encouragement to the senior national team ahead of its tie with Seychelles on Friday.
The game is billed to be played at Stephen Keshi stadium in Asaba, Delta State by 4:00 p.m.
In a tweet on Thursday, Atiku encouraged the players to win the game against the East African country.
“Rooting for Team Nigeria tomorrow. Go out and make us proud. #AFCON2019Q,” Atiku wrote.
Nigeria have already booked a place in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2019 tournament.
Seychelles were defeated 3-0 by the Super Eagles in the first leg of the AFCON 2019 qualifiers.
