Wife of a journalist based in Nasarawa State, Yahanasu Abubakar, and three other women who were kidnapped on Wednesday, have been released.
Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) correspondent chapel, Suleiman Abubakar, confirmed the development on Friday.
Mrs Abubakar and the others were kidnapped on Wednesday when gunmen numbering about 30 attacked their vehicle along Gudi-Garaku road in Akwanga LGA while they were on their way to Lafia.
The vehicle was conveying women from Keffi, where the journalist’s wife had gone to register for Batch A at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp.
It is not clear yet if any ransom was paid for their release.
