Pop singer, Chidinma Ekile, has demanded an apology from City FM after one of the broadcast outfit’s personnel said the viral ‘Fvck You’ song by Kizz Daniel was about her.
The explicit song is a comeback at a woman who cheats on her partner.
Multiple media outlets reported in 2018 that Kizz Daniel and the singer known mononymously as Chidinma were an item before falling apart.
A letter by the law firm of Shonaiya and Legal Practitioners quoted on-air personality, Benny Ark, as saying on Friday, March 29 that “the song is a special dedication to Chidinma Ekile.”
The excited presenter added that “she was humping around” and “going all around” in a manner described in the song which has spurred many cover versions.
The words, according to the singer’s lawyers, are not only totally false, they are slanderous and damaging to her reputation and person.
“We therefore demand an unreserved apology and retraction of the statements, from the OAP Benny Ark and your radio station,” both live on air and in writing within 24 hours the letter states.
