Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, and finance minister, Zainab Ahmed, will on Tuesday join other world economic experts to discuss issues affecting global economy in Washington DC, US.
The meetings will hold from April 9 to April 14 under the auspices of World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Several central bank governors, ministers of finance, parliamentarians, private sector executives, representatives from civil society organisations and the academia are expected at the 2019 Spring Meetings of IMF/ World Bank.
The meeting will also feature seminars, regional briefings, press conferences and many other events with focus on global economy, international development and the world’s financial system.
Since 1958, World Bank has supported Nigeria with loans of over $14.2 billion.
