Radio and TV presenter, Moet Abebe, has told her critics that they can call her an ‘ashewo’ but they should not forget to credit her for the work she puts into her broadcasting career.
The 29-year-old on-air personality said this in an Instagram post on Friday.
“Now let me just put this out there…. for those of you who forgot or need a quick reminder…. YES!!! MOET ABEBE is one of the most sought after female On Air Personalities (if you want act like you don’t know this) with a number of awards to support it…. Don’t get it twisted… from 2-6 pm everyday I Takeover the airwaves like I was born to do it … so pls don’t try to discredit the work I have put in since I moved back to this country…
“Call me names… make fun of my accent… call me ASHEWO but remember I worked super hard and nothing got handed over to me not even the title “Radio goddess”… I had to work and prove to myself that this radio thing can be achieved if I put my mind to it and that I have done so effortlessly ❤,” she wrote.
Moet Abebe has come under fire recently for saying that she is not responsible to anyone’s child as a role model, urging their parents to serve that role.
In March, she consistently posted revealing pictures of herself from her vacation in Ghana.
Moet, who calls herself the radio goddess, is a believer in “tasteful nudity”.
In a 2015 interview with Vanguard, she said “if it’s tasteful and meaningful, why not? But I’m not going butt-naked. There are limits.”
