Former presidential candidate, Oby Ezekwesili, has attacked Bashir Ahmad, a spokesman of President Muhammadu Buhari, for criticising Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, over her comments on the situation of the country.
Omotola had in several tweets on Sunday described the country as ‘hellish’ under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo.
Mr Ahmad responded to her comment saying: “Madam Omotola those who are working for CLEAN money are not complaining and will never refer our dear country as ‘hellish’.
“In Kano State alone, from 2015 to 2018, no fewer than 200 medium and small scale rice milling centres emerged. For that, billions circulated among millions.”
Ezekwesili, in several tweets on Wednesday, made public a number of screenshots of conversations she had with a Twitter user called Segalink when she was canvassing for the release of kidnapped Chibok girls in 2014.
She wrote in another tweet: “I am done calling out that dubious young man’s hypocritical tirade yesterday when a similarly vile fellow like him slut-shamed the very accomplished Omotola. Those of you who are still with your conscience should know that Consistency is the hallmark of Integrity.”
The Twitter user, @Segalink, was in early March named in a controversy involving a GoFundMe link supposedly created to support Atiku Abubakar’s election petition at the tribunal.
