Super Falcons and Houston Dash footballer Michelle Alozie has finally spoken about a rumoured admirer who gave her the bouquet of flowers she trashed recently.
The American-born star on Thursday, November 2 posted a video on Snapchat showing her laughing while throwing the flowers in the dustbin at an airport.
Many of her fans were left confused about the identity of the giver and why she binned the flowers.
The 26-year-old finally gave her reason in a post on her Instagram burner account on Sunday, saying the flowers were from a liar and cheater she wants no connection with.
She, however, did not reveal the person’s identity.
“When ppl think you threw away flowers from a fan, but actually the flowers were from a liar and a cheater and you want no connection with them,” she wrote.

Michelle Alozie was a part of the Super Falcons team that played at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup and was in the team that played against Ethiopia for the CAF Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament.
She sparked talks about her sexuality in September after posting a picture of herself and Houston Dash teammate Diana Ordonez with the inscription “HAPPY US OVER THEM DAY to my husband” on Instagram.
Reacting to interest generated by the post, Alozie wrote “I like guys. lol. Relax” in another post.
