Gumsu Sani-Abacha, daughter of former military dictator, the late General Sani Abacha, has announced the end of her marriage to Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni.
Gumsu revealed on X that she was divorced after she posted a photo of herself without a ring on her fingers and her hair uncovered.
“Emancipation…Liberation,” she captioned the December 2 post.
Users of X called her ‘First Lady’ but she answered “I am not Married.”

Reports say Buni and Gumsu’s marriage ended months ago.
Buni married Abacha’s daughter as his fourth wife in March 2021. Gumsu was previously married to Cameroonian billionaire Bayero Mohamadou. They separated in 2019 after almost 20 years of marriage that produced five children.
