Former Super Eagles coach and ex-international, Samson Siasia, has revealed that the abductor of his mother took her without her blood pressure medication.
Ogere Siasia was taken away by armed men around 2:00 am Monday from her home in the riverine Odoni community in Sagbama Local Government Area of the state.
Speaking to DAILY POST, Samson confirmed that she was kidnapped without her phone or drugs.
“Yes, the abductors have not contacted the family. We have reported to the Police. She was taken away without her drugs and phone.
“Even if they ask her for our numbers, she would not be able to help because she cannot recall mobile numbers. We are full of prayers and hoping she would be released soon,” he said.
Police in Bayelsa have begun a manhunt for the kidnappers of the septuagenarian.
Bayelsa police spokesman, Asinim Butswat, in a statement on Monday said the police commissioner and the command’s tactical team had visited the scene of the crime.
“The command in collaboration with other security stakeholders have launched manhunt to apprehend the criminals and rescue the victim. Investigation is ongoing,” the police spokesman said.
The incident becomes the second time Mrs Siasia would be kidnapped after suffering similar fate in November 2015. She was released 12 days later.
