Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) Abike Dabiri-Erewa and her husband Segun Erewa have paid a visit to former military head of state Ibrahim Babangida in Minna, Niger State.
Mrs Dabiri-Erewa shared photos of the visit on Twitter on Saturday, stating that she had fond memories of Babangida’s late wife Maryam whom she worked with for five years while she was NTA State House correspondent.
“My husband and I paid a visit to IBB in Minna. Fond memories of Mrs Maryam Babangida, with whom I worked for about five years as an @NTANewsNow State House correspondent, remains indelible,” she wrote.
Dabiri-Erewa worked for the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) for 15 years, anchoring the weekly NTA News line programme and taking a particular interest in poverty and social justice issues.
She retired from her position at NTA to stand for election in the House of Representatives to represent Ikorodu Constituency, winning with a substantial majority.
