Chairman/chief executive officer of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) Abike Dabiri-Erewa on Wednesday paid tributes to her late mother Sadiat Erogbogbo.
Mrs Erogbogbo who was known as ‘kind teacher’ during her professional life died aged 90.
In an Instagram post, Mrs Dabiri-Erewa thanked God for a life well lived.
She said: “My super mum passed on peacefully at 90. Alhamdulilah. She laid Peacefully, gracefully as she smiled, waved and said ‘I want to sleep’. We give God the glory for a life well spent.”
The NIDCOM boss’s mother was born in Kano, schooled in Lagos, and later taught in Kano, Lagos and Jos.
President Muhammadu Buhari, in a statement on Monday, noted that the late Erogbogbo impacted positively on the lives of students who passed through her tutelage, hence the sobriquet ‘kind teacher.’
