Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has been given an award by Nigerians living in Saudi Arabia.
The award signed by Muhammad Yaro comes on behalf of Nigerians living in the Middle Eastern country for her support to the diaspora.
In a tweet on Friday, Mrs Dabiri-Erewa appreciated them for the honour.
A Nigerian, Ibrahim Ibrahim, who was jailed in Saudi Arabia for three years for an offence he did not commit, was released on Tuesday.
Mr Ibrahim was imprisoned on charges of drug trafficking.
Mrs Dabiri-Erewa had said the release was jointly facilitated by the Zamfara State Government who travelled with officials from NIDCOM and the office of the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF).
