Abike Dabiri’s 98-year-old father dances to K1 De Ultimate’s song

Chairman/CEO of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) Abike Dabiri-Erewa has shared a video of her father Pa Ashafa Erogbogbo dancing to ‘Adé Orí Òkin’ by K1 De Ultimate to celebrate his 98th birthday on Tuesday, May 28.

The elderly man is seen seated on a wheelchair surrounded by his daughter and others in videos shared on Instagram.

Mrs Dabiri-Erewa and the others sang the happy birthday song for the celebrant. Asked how old he was, the celebrant responded, “I’m 98 years old.”

Dabiri-Erewa also shared a throwback photo of him.

The NIDCOM boss thanked God for the blessing of having her nonagenarian dad alive and prayed that he would be see more years in good health and happiness.

“Happy 98th birthday to my incredible Dad, Alhaji Ashafa Erogbogbo! Allhamdulilah for the blessing of having you in our lives. Wishing you a day filled with love, joy, and cherished moments. Here’s to many more years of health and happiness ahead!” She wrote.

The celebrant, a native of Ikorodu, Lagos State, worked in different regions of the country as a young man before retiring and going into private business.

In 2021, Pa Erogbogbo’s almost 70 years marriage to Sadiat ended on February 1 when the latter passed on.

Mrs Erogbogbo, a former teacher and businesswoman, died at the age of 90.
