Group managing director and chief executive officer of Access Bank Herbert Wigwe is celebrating his 54th birthday.
The Harvard-schooled bank executive wrote on Twitter on Saturday that he was grateful for all he had around him.
He wrote: “Birthdays make you deeply reflective and thankful. I am grateful to God for gifts, blessings and the incredible people that have taught, mentored, birthed, shaped and helped me on this life’s journey.”
Born in Ibadan, Oyo State Mr Wigwe began his career at Coopers and Lybrand, Lagos as a management consultant, later qualifying as a chartered accountant. After a stint at Capital Bank, he joined GTBank where he spent over a decade working in corporate and institutional banking, rising to become the executive director in charge of institutional banking.
