Veteran actor Tajudeen Oyewole, widely known as Abija, has turned to social media for financial support, stirring concern among fans.
In a now-viral video shared on X late Monday, Abija requested financial assistance from his followers, expressing his gratitude to those who have already contributed.
In the video, he personally addressed a fan named Larry Larry who requested for his account number.
The 67-year-old promised to share his account number in the comment section.
Speaking in Yoruba, the actor said, “We will send it now Larry Larry. We will send it to the comment section. You will not be trapped by the evil people of this world.
“You will not live alone. You will grow old. Larry, you will grow in sound health. I have sent the account details to the comment section of Baba Legba. I appreciate you.”
He continued with a message of gratitude, “You will also not beg to survive. The real Igbalaye, thank you. You will not suffer in life.
“The account is in the comment section posted by Baba Legba. Thank you, everyone.”
Despite the emotional plea, Abija did not disclose the specific reason behind his financial need.
The movie star rose to fame with his role in Koto Aye, a Yoruba film by the late Yekini Ajileye.
This isn’t the first time the actor has sought help from his fans. Last year, he also appealed for assistance in purchasing a car.
