Veteran actor Ayobami Olabiyi fondly known as Bobo B has passed away.
Bobo B’s death came after a prolonged illness, following his inability to attend a scheduled movie shoot in Oyo last month due to his worsening health.
He was later admitted to the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan where he became unable to speak or move in his final days.
The news was confirmed by Bose Akinola, the Oyo State Governor of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN).
Bose shared that Bobo B had served as the national secretary of TAMPAN and had previously been the association’s governor in Oyo State.
In her statement she said, “It is with deep sorrow that I announce the death of our TAMPAN national general secretary, Chief Alhaji Mudashir Ayobami Olabiyi, ‘Bobo B.’
“May God grant his family and the entire TAMPAN community the strength to endure this loss. Insha Allah, Amen.”
