Actor Babatunde Tayo, popularly known as Baba Tee, has publicly apologised to skit maker Ijoba Lande after admitting to having an affair with Lande’s wife, content creator Ganiyu Morufu, also known as Dara.
After Lande publicly accused him of sleeping with his wife, Baba Tee—who initially threatened legal action—took to his Instagram page on Monday to express remorse and acknowledge his mistakes.
In his post, he wrote, “I’m deeply sorry Lande. From the bottom of my heart, brother. I take responsibility for my mistakes. How Dara became Lande’s wife without my knowledge. I fear woman.”
This apology comes after Baba Tee initially denied any involvement with Dara and accused those spreading the allegations of attempting to defame him.
However, in a recent interview, he admitted to a brief intimate encounter with Dara, claiming he was unaware she was married at the time and alleging that he had been set up.
The apology has sparked mixed reactions from fans and colleagues, with some commending his decision to take responsibility, while others criticise his initial denials.
Ijoba Lande has yet to respond to Baba Tee’s apology.
