Actor Emmanuel France is dead

Veteran actor, Emmanuel France is dead.

His death was announced by filmmaker, Femi Ogedengbe on his Instagram page.

Femi shared fond memories of working with Emmanuel, recalling how they traveled to Tanzania in 2006 and collaborated on several films, including Cross My Sin, She Is My Sister, and The Director.

In his heartfelt tribute, Femi wrote, “Rest in peace to one of Nollywood’s legends, Uncle Emmanuel France.

One of the actors I took to Tanzania in 2006. We shot three movies together: Cross My Sin, She Is My Sister, and The Director. R.I.P.”

Born in Ghana, Emmanuel France was known not only for his talent but also for his gentlemanly demeanor, always treating others with respect.

Throughout his career, he featured in dozens of films, making a lasting impact on the Nollywood industry.

One of France’s personal dreams was to produce a film titled Ghana Must Go, a project that was close to his heart.

His passing leaves a void in the hearts of filmmakers, fellow actors, and his journalist friends.

The cause of his death remains unclear, but France was believed to be in his 80s.
